The Institute of Professional Soil Scientists (IPSS) has now merged as a branch of the British Society of Soil Science which is a limited company, registered in England and Wales No. 7110309 and a registered Charity No. 1134456.

The Institute continues to be a professional body aiming to promote and enhance the status of soil science and allied disciplines.

Together with the British Society of Soil Science our aims are:

• Improving soil education and developing soil scientists
• Supporting standards of practice
• Promoting the use of soil science

Society Annual Conference 2011 - Soils and Ecosystem Services: the challenges for Science, management and policy

The 2011 Sociey meeting will take place at the Royal Geographical Society, London on the 19th-20th July 2011.  This event will mark the 20th aniversary of the IPSS - we hope you can join us in London!
